Caitlin Lynch

This past October, Caitlin Lynch sang Micaëla in Carmen with Seattle Opera, and in the spring will perform the role of First Lady in Die Zauberflöte with the Dallas Opera and the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Baltimore.  Other performances this season include Carmina Burana with Syracuse Opera, Alice Ford in Falstaff with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, and a new chamber work with Jake Heggie and Music of Remembrance in Seattle. 

Last season, Ms. Lynch could be seen as Mrs. Gobineau in The Medium at the Spoleto Festival; Konstanza in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with Arizona Opera; and Messiah with the Ann Arbor Symphony. Ms. Lynch also recently sang Hero in Beatrice and Benedict with Houston Grand Opera, the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro with Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Lyra Ottawa, and Michigan Opera Theatre; Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with Palm Beach Opera, Arizona Opera and Opera Carolina; Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Michigan Opera Theatre; Micaëla in Carmen with Opera New Jersey and Seattle Opera; Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Opera Carolina; Musetta in La Bohème with the Nashville Opera; Alice Ford in Falstaff and Leïla in Les Pêcheurs de Perles with Opera Cleveland; and Cleopatra in excerpts from Giulio Cesare in concert with Glimmerglass Opera at the Morgan Library.

Ms. Lynch received a 2008 Sara Tucker Grant, first place in the 2008 Houston Grand Opera Competition, first place in the Irma M. Cooper Opera Columbus Competition in 2006, the encouragement award in the 2007 Opera Index and the Jensen Foundation Voice Competitions, and second place in the 2007 Palm Beach Opera Competition.
